Subject: Cutting steel overhang on a roof/ gutter issues

Central MN
I have pole barn steel for a roof on my house. I just put 5 inch gutters on the eve. Unfortunately after I put the gutters on, I realized alot of the rain flys off the roof completely clearing the gutters if it's coming down hard. Probably 50% or better. The roof steel overhangs the fascia about 3 inches. Eve is 44 feet long.

1. Should I just go get 6 inch gutters and mount them up a bit higher and with less slope so they hopefully won't let the water over? ( Currently have .5 inch per 10 feet of gutter maybe go .25 per 10 feet?)

2 Keep existing gutters and shim them somehow so they stick further out from the fascia

3 cut 1-1.5 inches of the roof tin off so it doesn't hang out so far thus making it less likely the rain will over shoot the gutter . If so what's the best way to cut it straight and what tool and blade works best
Thanks!
