east central iowa | I have a kinze with interplants and has air down pressure and wavy coulters. No tilling soybeans into heavy cornstalks residue. If I take off the coulters would the stand improve or would I need a row cleaner. So what does it look like after planting? Are the front rows covered in trash from the back rows throwing it back on them. I sort of think that seed to soil contact would improve with less hair pinning in the seed zone. If a person gets a narrow profile row cleaner that doesn't throw it so wide will the depth get messed up from the gauge wheels riding up on the residue? Thoughts? | |
