Subject: SCH cutterbar on haybine?

McCanna, ND
Have a macdon A30D that I’m wanting to put a new cutter bar on. I’ve switched our macdon Draper heads over to SCH cutterbars. Do the SCH cutterbars work as good on haybine as they do on grain heads? I noticed the haybine cutterbar has a hold down on about every other guard vs several feet like the Draper heads have/had.

I’m trying to get down to 1 brand of guards/sections to carry on hand. the haybine if switched would use all the exact same parts as the Draper heads including the overlap sections/guards.
