Black Hawk County, IA | On Father’s Day our church puts pictures of dads up on the screen during the service. I have no children of my own, but I have a couple of pseudo adopted daughters from the area for one reason or another. So imagine my surprise to see myself toting a couple little blonde treasures. They belong to the youngest daughter of one of my best friends. He and her mother divorced over 15 years ago, and the daughter and I have become buddies to the end. Mafrif knows who I’m referring to.
