south central WI | Started cutting on Thursday before Memorial Day, hoping to beat the forecast for a wet following week. Was supposed to be hot and sunny. It turned out to be cool and overcast
We didn't start chopping until Memorial day. We got 225 acres up that day before we had an electrical issue. Fixed it early next day and started again. We finished with 850-900 acres up by Thursday evening, even after losing a couple hours on Thursday due to having to drive through road construction all day. The only benefit of having to wait was it gave me time to fish a pond for 5 minutes.
Edit to add: the tractors are my neighbors. They are having their last open house soon, in a couple weeks I think (June 18th?). Then they are having an auction. I think around 175 restored tractors. Great people, great collection.
