Central Kansas | The A/C has went south on my 2188. I've determined that by using a test light, with the key on, I have power to the compressor......start the engine and the compressor will run for about 5 seconds and then something kills the power. Seems that I have no power again untill I shut things down and start over and the same thing happens....5 seconds of compressor and thats it. I'm guessing that maybe the expansion valve might be stuck or plugged, creating a high pressure and then the high pressure switch shuts things down. I don't have any gauges so am really in the dark on this. Whats your thoughts about my problem? As a side note, during the last few days of wheat harvest back in June, it wasn't cooling very good but was acceptable. I know now that the compressor is not running so have no cool air to even be acceptable......and I'm not going to cut Milo and Soybeans in a 150 degree cab! | |
