Subject: Aphids, Cont'd

Central Iowa
Thanks for the responses on spraying aphids.
We are going to start spraying today as soon as we get product - lorsban I think.
A couple more questions and clarifications:

We are probably only going to spray the smaller/ir-regular fields. It is not practical to spray them with an airplane.
We have 30" rows and the tractor we use does not have mfd or duals. If we follow the same pattern as when herbicides were sprayed, there will be very little damage(only on the ends, if any).

- Label says to use 1 - 2 pints. What rate do you use?
- How late in the day can you spray? (is there the same concern with dew as with contact herbicides?)
- There is a chance of rain tomorrow. Will/can that be a problem? (Last year there was heavy rain the day after spraying aphids and it did not seem to work real well).

Thanks Again!
