Subject: Limping calf and cows

central Kentucky
I have a calf that is limping, she looks like she has arthritis or something. No sign of a rock between hoof, cuts or other injury. Couple of cows are limping on one foot as well. I had one local guy said that they needed some kind of special salt with iodine. They are on a complete mineral and fescue pasture with red clover. Water is from a well. Anybody have an idea of what could be wrong with them?
