Subject: The $ value of corn silage

The post below on the cost of raising heifers got me to thinking about the $ value of corn silage with $6.00 plus corn. When corn was $2.00/bu, silage was in the $25.00/ton range. With $6.00 plus corn/bu, should the price be in the $114.00/ton range ? (I'm using a dry shelled corn yield of 130 bu. ) Regardless of the price of silage, how do you pass along the increase in the value to customers if you are raising heifers or feeding beef on a custom basis. If you are feeding your own silage to your own livestock what value do you put on corn silage in your own operation to reflect the increase in the value.
