Subject: N deficient corn

Central Missouri
For all of you who suspect you have lost alot of your N on your corn, Peter Scharf at MU has done alot of work on aerial imagery and late N applications on corn. He is one of the experts. Might be a good idea contacting him and finding-out the best course of action. Better yet get the Iowa corn growers to sponsor some meetings bringing in the experts to expound on how to feed the N deficient corn. Alot of the yield loss in corn in 93 probably could have been averted by additional N applications once the ground dried. Just a suggestion.
