Subject: spring frost damage on canola

Denhoff,ND right in the center of the State
Got real cold here last night, was spraying spartan on sunflowers and the sprayer was froze up here this morning, finished this afternoon and took a look at the canola fields and they look sick, smaller plants took it harder than the larger ones and where the ground was blacker it is not as bad, like where I did some tillage last fall. I think the ground temp was warmer there. Leaves are black and wilted this evening, what are your opinions on this? This has been a real different spring here in central ND drought and alot colder than norm. Sure hate to get the drills out again but if I have to may replant with Flax. Thanks, Terry
