East Central Illinois
Large Operator on Illinois/ Indiana Border has acquired some additional acreage in the last 90 days in a rather odd lease.
Has taken a 50/50 crop share lease and adjusted accordingly.
Operator is paying 100 % of all expenses,is receiving 50% of the crop
Landowner is paying 0 % of expenses,however is paying real estate taxes,receiving 50% of the crop
Landowner responsible for marketing his 50% of grain,Landowner responsible for his own crop insurance.
I've played with this formulation a little bit,it can work with yield and price,but looks pretty iffy in my books.
