Subject: paying wages in grain

I've been receiving grain as wages for a long time. about 1/3 of my wages I get in grain. I get paid twice a yr in grain, end of January and end of July. Last yr I made an extra 2,000$ on my grain sales. my boss was wondering what kind of wheat I wanted to get the end of January. he has soft white white- yesterday price was 13.04, hard red winter, yesterday price 10.22, and dark northern spring, yesterday price 11.63. I've never seen soft white higher then hard red or dns before. I wonder if hard red might be the best one to try and play the market with? I'll put some kind of stop loss on it to protect myself. any one else pay their workers in grain. saves me and my boss in paying social security- several around here do it and our accountant says it ok to do it.
