Subject: Asking a questions

Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49
Have been reading threads on here and am wanting to start feeding a ration more like garvo and other bigger feeders. But am trying to get set up in a cheap way.
1- I already have round baler ( 468 J.D.) so I can make differant sizes of bales. But baling corn stalks can tear up a baler ( I think )
2- already have a new Halland 355 feed grinder
3- I want to be able to grind corn stalks
Now for the question
4- I have found a Blazer 1200 wind rower , can I use this to shred stalks enough so I will not tear up my baler?
5- the corn stalks would be used as bedding and grind some in my feed ration ( have to grind stalks in by hand )
6- Am I going to need a tub grinder right off or can I get by until I see if this is what I want? ( only feeding 25 -50 head)
7- maybe end up with corn stalks and DDG for cow herd?
8- Please add your openions ( hopefully I have covered my bases )
9- do you guys that feed bunk ration feed free choise hay or just have it in ration . When looking at pic never see hay feeders in the pens.
I am going some where with all this but going one step at a time ( remember I am small operator ) But have always looked for cheapper ways to feed for the small guy .
Know offence entended to anyone.
