Subject: Speaking of catholic wedding ceremonies

Kansas
The thread below reminded me of something that still gets under my skin. About 5-6 years ago I attended a friend's catholic wedding, I had not been to one since I was 8-9. Anyway, when the priest came to the vows section I could swear he said something to the tune of "you will produce children and raise them in the catholic faith" (ok, not the exact words, but pretty much the meaning). I honestly had to fight the urge to yell "that's none of your business". When my wife and I began talking to her priest about our ceremony that was one of the first things I brought up, I guess that catholics like many others can vary their wording. He said they in no way are telling those they marry have to produce children, but they are just saying if you do to bring them up in the church, but even then he told me that if you don't, they can't do nothing about it. I was just wondering if anyone notices how it is worded and if there are differences?
