| If policing were a rodeo and one event was the quickest to capture a motorist, I would nominate the Illinois State Police.
The observation: Traveling from Hannibal, MO into Illinois and the Illinois bear has a motorist stopped within the first mile inside Illinois. In several years and many miles I've never seen a stop that quick.
Protect and serve v. generate revenue?
My observation over several Illinois miles is that there were more bears on the road than deer in the median.
Happily made it without getting pinched.
