I do not own a handgun. I want to own one that I will not feel guilty about shooting on a regular basis. .22 fits the bill cause the ammo is cheap. I'm hearing the Ruger Mark III is probably the one to go for. So where do I get it? What kind of price should I expect to pay? I don't mind used if it's in good condition. Are there good places to find used handguns? There is a good local gun store I think (although I don't spend much time there) but I want to know some basic pricing information before I go in and pay way more than I need to.

Also, if the Mark III is not the rimfire handgun of choice, let me know. I just want something decent. At this point I'm wanting the hunter model. Thanks.
