Subject: Soybeans

Martinsville, Ohio

Trying to figure out whether to sell soybeans now or wait until later.  I think I need a little more income in 09 as I have plenty of expenses but really think there should be another dollar left in beans if we choose to ride it out.

Tax consequences could be worse in 2010 but won't have to pay that until 2011.

I don't mind paying more taxes in 2011 but don't want to lose a dollar now either.

This probably more of a farm management decision than just a profit decision now.

We all have enough bills this year and I don't want to show red for this year and too much in the black in future years.

The oil seed shortage looks strong enough I really think there is a dollar left in the 09 crop.

What do you think?

Thanks,
