Boone, Iowa | I have not had much luck in finding a 7240/50 or 8940/50 in the price range I am looking to spend. Today I have came across several nice looking 8930 mfd. I am upgrading and replacing my 7120 mfd that is set at 175 pto h.p. and the 8930 is rated at 180. I know most pump shops will set them up 10%, which would put me close to 200. The 8940 is 205 and 8950 is 225. I would like to be in between these two, so the pump would have to be set 20% over stock setting. Are there any problems I need to worry about that would not handle the h.p.? I heard the 30's do not have the same number of clutches in some of the tranny clutch packs. Thanks for any input. | |
