Amherst WI | I bought a 844 a few weeks ago to do some custom work for some neighbors. I was looking it over and greasing and oiling it last night and found that I am missing a shaft and two couplers between row 3 and 4 gear boxes. I called the dealer I got it from that is 140 miles away this morning and they were going to see if they could even get the parts for it, I mentioned I could go to a used parts place about an hour from here and they would most likely have it and cheaper. I am OK running used parts on something like this. If the shaft was in there that is what I would have had any way. I told him I would send them the bill and they said ok, now my question is should I expect some compensation for going to get it and putting it in? I will have about a 120 mile round trip to get the parts plus my time as well as instaling it. If they would give $60-70 for the hassle I would be fine with it. | |
