Amherst WI | I sent in 6 steers the other day. (That is a big group for me) I got $.785 and $.795 for them. It boggles my mind that we were feeding these things $7.50 corn over the summer and I got the same price as I did 4 years ago when corn was $2.50. I have already quit buying feeders and am really thinking about just raising my calves for freezer beef. Like my neighbor says sometimes you are better off sitting on the porch and drinking beer than actually doing things.
