Subject: Neighbors cows.

Jewell County Kansas
got a call that my cows were out, and in my corn, so I head over to the field, and find 10 head of the neighbors cows. guy has poor fence and they are habitually out. there was some damage, but I thought it was not terrible. chased them out, across the road, back onto their side, and called the neighbor.
go around the field to find 30 pair just wallowing away at my corn. got them ran out and across the road, sat there fuming, and finally the neighbors hired man shows up to get the cows out of their beans and back in the pasture.

this was Thursday. not one call yet. and I talked with the hired man, we agreed there was a bunch of damage. and he would tell the owner...

got an appraiser coming out Monday to give me an idea of the loss. but am wondering about waiting till harvest to see how poorly it yields.

any thoughts on my next move?
