Anamoose, ND | This is the first year of growing soybeans here in central ND for me. We have been really dry but over the weekend we picked up some nice rains, we also had some hail. The hail didn't seem to hurt anything but the soybeans. The soybeans were just getting thier first true leaves. You can see that the hail stripped some of the leaves off, you can see pieces of leaves laying on the ground between the rows. How much of a yeild hit can I expect from this? I talked to one local friend that had this happen a few years ago, his beans with the hail damage did ten BPA, while the part of the field without damage made thirty BPA. What can I expect? Thanks
