Subject: Farming clay (hilly) damp land

ne il
I have never worked with clay soil. I would like to disc or feild cult. This farm to level it off(ruts) (not many). But with the weather the way it is cool and damp. Would it be a wise idea too work it or just go ahead and no-till in to it. I have no-tilled before into cool damp soils with no luck at all. I kinda quit no tilling after that we had a few wet springs and no-till seemed to lag behind the worked ground. However I have been told if I work clay ground and it is just a little damp I will be way sorry. If the sun would come out during the day to dry it out after I worked it I would not have a problem working the ground. But I don't think that is going to happen. Your experience would be helpful thanks.
