Eastern Kansas | Does anyone have a bale bed with a feed box on the bed also. Just wondered how they work together. I feed about 200 bales / yr. and fork it off my bale spears in piles in the pasture to save on waste and let more eat. What do you think is savings of unrolling hay versus feeding in a ring?
I also feed 20 - 50 buckets of DDG daily from about Thanksgiving to Easter and it is getting to my arms and shoulders to lift in and out of the pickup, so I'm considering a feed box. Wondered how DDG flows out.
Rich, where do you live? I would like to look at some used ones for the prices you mentioned.
