Adjusted for inflation $5 beans in 1973 would equate to $23,28. But, you say beans went to $12.90 in 1973. That calculates to $60 a bushel.

Interestingly enough an acre of farmland that sold for $2,700 an acre in 2000 would now be adjujsted to $3161.35 an acre. The land in that area is now selling for $4,500-$5,000 an acre. Is land too high or are beans too cheap?
