Subject: Half of all Americans now eat a hamburger

New Mexico
at least once per week now.

2 years ago the afore number was 38% of em.

Specialty hamburger chains are rapidly expanding ( overlooked by some as perhaps the best suppposedly small time business segment of the usa economy the past 4 years ).

Cull cow harvest appears to be declining now and is conservatively expected to be down at least 800,000 head in 012 from the 011 drouth level.

It's going to be interesting to see if, or at what level prices may impact demand in 012.

Could end up with plenty of Select grade simply going to the grind for years now ( we'll see ).
Some say more imports, which is a tough equation with a weak usd and the fact there's really no spare supply to import from globally.

Interesting thing on usa meat exports:
Most perhaps do not know that ONLY full loads ( one species ) are reported as exports.
Split loads are not reported.

Thus MOST usa meat exports are likely not reported because most foriegn customers may buy split loads ( pork, beef or beef, pork and chickie, AND/or beef with other frozen foods )
