| Guys, Really kicking aroud the idea of a gradual switch from our crossbred dairy herd, Jersey/Holstein , to beef , maybe in 5 years. Thought about running Angus bulls instead of dairy bulls and slowly getting out of the dairy business. Or do you think this is a bad idea and just sell the milk cows and buy bred beef cows? Am currently saeasonal grass dairy, so the whole farm is fenced. I'm running 115 milk cows right now, Would i be able to run that many beef cows as a cow/ calf operation or less? Thanks in advance.
