Bonanza, Or | Does anyone else here have to deal with the BOR and their out of control spending? Here is one example of their thinking. There is one remote dam here with no power so if has a portable generator to power the gates. The gen set is a 208 volt 3 phase 20kw which you can buy brand new for under $10,000 but they want $50,000 a year to maintain the present gen set. Pretty big price to change the oil and "excite the rectifier". I think they need their rectifier excited with a boot. Just another example of our fine broke gov run amuck. Thats my rant for the day. | |
