Subject: Anyone ever heard of ribble?

West Central Wisconsin
I'm not sure of the spelling but this was a Thanksgiving/Christmas treat on my father's side of the family. I believe it to be Swiss in origin. Potatoes, I think mashed were used, were heated and constantly stirred while adding lard. It took a long time to make and the finished product looked like Grape Nuts,(only larger), and was served with warm milk added. It tasted like bits of french fries to me so one time I put ketchup on some and caught heck from my aunt and uncle. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks, Joe.
