This is a Bush Hog model 315 15 foot batwing rotary mower or shredder. I was not able to find the serial number but I would estimate it to be about 35 years old. Overall the unit is in good shape and works as it should.

As you can see from the pictures the blades have some wear and chips out of them. I think with a sharpening they would be good to go, but replacement wouldn't be a bad idea either. The deck itself is in pretty good shape. There was one hole that we just patched up as we were preparing to list it for sale which is pictured. There is still a dent in that area, but the rest of the deck looks flat. The tires are solid laminated tires and are in good shape. The drive line has several clutches and gear boxes and all are operational, although the oil level in the gear boxes should be checked before using as they have not been checked recently. No major issues with the drive line that we are aware of. The wings operate on two single action cylinders which are both functional. However, both appear to have leaky seals, as oil comes out of the breather valve when fully retracted on both. This does not affect their functionality. The raise/lower cylinder works great and has no known issues, but it controls the height of the wheels on the center deck only. The wheels on both wings are manual/stationary. They hydraulic hoses have no leaks, but the rubber has fallen off in places due to age. Lock up bars are included for both wings.

Overall this is a good heavy duty unit. We have used it for 20+ years and have been able to shear off brush and small trees with no problem. We are just getting rid of it because we upgraded to a newer unit. Let me know if you have any questions.
