| Use air through season to keep fairly clean. At end of season, we will use pressure washer to remove grease/chain lube but avoid spraying at bearings as much as possible. Once done, we start the machine up and let separator and feederhouse run at low idle for 15-20 min to work out any water that may have gotten in places it should not have.
We've been doing this for 30 years with 8 different combines and rarely have bearing failures. | |
