So. IL | Probably an old topic that was beat to death long ago but I've been unable to find anything in the archives about this one.
Has anyone actually tried putting golf balls in a combine cylinder that has filler plates to keep it clean and balanced?
If yes, what was the result?
If successful, how many do you need to use? Have a JD 7720 that I'd like to try this on if it is worth considering.
Just me thinking, but why wouldn't the golf balls themselves create a balance problem?
I'm sure several of you will suggest that I take out the filler plates. Just seems to me that the filler plates help keep rocks and roots from running through the combine as we have found plenty in the trap area.
