| Tom, we had a set and I don't remember the brand but they wore out in three years and almost went through the knives on night. (we don't have the metel detector on ours.) The original set had been on there for five years and were in better shape than the aftermarket ones in three years. We bought the Gelh chains even though they were almost 50% more. I don't think that there is anytime for breakdowns at harvest. I do use alot of aftermarket stuff but some places it just doesn't pay.
You may find a good aftermarket chain but I want to cation you that cheaper isn't better all the time, sometimes it cost alot more at the end of the day.
