We owned a 12/23 2600 for 5 years before trading it in on a 16/32 JD 1790. For beans the 1790 is a good planter & the CCS tanks do hold a lot of seed (100 bu on a 16 row). The shipping weight on a 16/32 1790 is 31,000#, add in 6,000# of beans when full & you have a heavy planter. If you want evenly spaced corn the Kinzie does a much better job IMO. If you ever ran an IH Cyclo planter & was satisfied with the seed spacing from it you'll be happy with a 1790.

After 3 years we traded the 1790 in on a new Kinzie 16/32 3600 and was glad to see the JD go down the road.
