One thing that everyone has failed to mention regarding the 6.0 turbos is that they are not your "normal" turbo, they are a variable geometry turbo (VGT), which is the same thing John Deere is using on their Tier III compliant engines. That is where the large replacement cost is coming into play as VGTs are not cheap.
