The reason I have a profit is because they pulled thousands and thousands of pounds of it off the free market hoping for just exactly that........to make a huge profit. At the same time, when they (Pam) stockpiled this they only drove up prices for end users. They haven't let any of it go, and I'm guessing/hoping that they've lost that profit.

Most people aren't even wasting their time with 12 any more due to the price even though it's still the best coolant. Many have put on new compressors and just added 134 or as you mentioned "some" may have just vacuumed out the system, removed and added new oil and 134......doesn't work to bad. There is also available a coolant called RB276 (I think) that works nearly as good as r12 does but doesn't carry the price tag. It is r12 compatable.
