Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | Ed,the picture you posted kinda makes my hair stand on end from fear. That jumper wire you made from the BAT stud to the #2 regulator terminal is uninsulated and 1/8 inch from the alternator case with full,battery amperage in an unfused wiring harness. If that terimal gets bent ever so slightly so it shorts to the case,and the jumper wire is 14 ga or heavier,its gonna burn up the wiring harness along with maybe the tractor and shed. A replacement alternator plug at the auto parts store cost $2 ,looks professional, and is short proof. It will come with 6 inch leads installed,so all you need to do is crimp on the terminal for the BAT stud and your good to go. This is the voice of experience talking :( Picture below.
