NorthWest Indiana | When rewiring trailers and installing flat beds never looked at the color code (heck half the time the colors are all the same color, muddy brown!). I have a clearance light with two alligator snaps on it, one goes on a shiny spot on the frame (DeWalt grinders do a good job achieving this) and then touch the other wire to the wire in question. If it blinks when the turn light is on, it is a turn light. If it lights when the lights are turned on, it is the taillight. Turn light overrides brake light so they are same unless two bulb situation in which you check one more wire while someone holds down the brake pedal. | |
