Driftless SW Wisconsin | Some Chevy and GMC late model PU's have a different wiring color code than "standard". Maybe that is your problem. You almost have to go into the wiring harness drawing to make sure you get it right.
As an alternative, couldn't you just plug the flatbed into the trailer hitch plug? I think the color code is most likely what is causing your problem. For the other poster, I think the Dodge follows the most popular color code. I've done both of them recently and the GM was definitely confusing. Best of luck.
