Subject: Re: Painting bins and shed

NorthWest Indiana
I have a family from North Carolina that stops by about every two years. They always shoot a high price, but do dicker to about half of their first amount. Have a gambrel roofed barn, metal roof, wood sides, they painted the roof silver and sides white, took them about half of the day, cost me $600.00 and they put a few screws in the roof for me before painting. Have a machine shed, farrowing house (100X40) and a drive through crib, single sided crib and the garage, they painted all of those roofs for another $600.00 (5X$120.00). Wouldn't have crawled on those roofs for a hundred bucks let alone be able to buy the paint and brushes/rollers. They were here for a full day, came back the next day and scraped the paint off of the four high windows in the big barn so I could have light in the haymow again. Yeah, have heard the horror stories of these people, but don't think they are the gypsies that are always talked about as I understand the gypsies keep it in the family and this family has black men that do most of the painting. Anyway, have dealt with them from about 1992, figure they keep coming back and their paint does stay on and bright for years. A lot of money, but couldn't buy the materials and paint what they painted for what they painted it for.
