| I have an 82 IH 2275 with the 350hp 855. We had it lengthened and a 20ft box + hoist put on. Was a used over the road truck when I bought it. Has about 700K on it now. Smokes some under load, and has some now at idle. My understanding is the injectors probably are due. Doesn't use oil. I did have to change the oil cooler, as it was leaking into the radiator system. Not too bad a job. Truck is due for king pins and bushings also. Farm fields don't help truck suspensions.
The hendrickson is a good suspension for grain hauling. Won't lean on hills and holds up pretty well. My truck has the IH suspension and it works good too. Had to change the power links as the bushings were wore out when we got it. Makes the rear tires wear funny.
