Your best bet is to convert it to R134a which you can buy anyplace for cheap,and not have to worry about a goofy mix that you can't top up. Sure gas and diesel are flamible,but they do not have a direct path into the passenger compartment like a hydrocarbon refrigerant does. There are enough things to kill you out there without putting propane and a sparking blower motor where it can blow out of the AC vents.All it takes is a leaky or burst evaporator.
