In a nutshell.The 4440 is a heavier and a bit larger version of 4430(466 vs 404 engine) with the 4440 having a hydraulic seat.A bit more black paint used on the 40 series.Both very good tractors ,but go with the 4440 if you are buying. Not that much diffeence in price these days and the 4440 is a better tractor with a better service record and I own two 4430s.
