I used to go to the " Husker Harvest days " in Nebraska. Man that was a show. Spent most of the time at the demos. They would do a whole years work in the field on the same day. One time I got there a day early and the farmer across the street was combining his corn. Maybe a little early, but you gotta. Looks good right? Anyway, they got some big A** cobs out there. The guy was nice enough to let me go for a ride in the combine. Didn't take long and the bin was full. Unloading on the go with their big A** Buggy and big A** Tractor. Trucks waiting at the end of the field ready to go to the elevator. Things sure are different there than here. They'd strip that field in a day whereas I would take two or three. Farm Progress would be another show I would like to see one day. Altho I didn't see to many good reviews about it on here last year. Why was that? |
