If the motors are on each end of a common drive shaft, parallel will work. If the box is split in two, then it won't. The cahain with the lighter load will empty faster, and the heavy chain could just sit there.

Now, an idea: If you plumb it in parallel, and put a valve in, you could run 100% of the oil to one motor when the load is light, which would really speed up the clean out time. You'd have to also have a recirc vavle on the idled motor, otherwise it would pump oil as it turn and hopefully stall the other one, worst case wreck something.
