nw pa | As others have stated the transmission is the weak link. We have had one for close to 15 years and have not had to do any power shift work. The engine is good. It has enough power so we don't use the power shift under load just throttle back at the ends, once you get turned around give it some fuel and away you go. It starts better than the other tractors we have and seems to have more power to weight ratio than anything else. Should be able to buy a nice one for under 8 or 9. Just figure on a trans. job sooner or later. You will still have a good tractor with plenty of power for less than 15. What else can you buy and get a new transmission for less? The motor if it runs good now should last a long time.
Dislikes are the ride, bounces when there are no bumps. Still would buy another if I was looking for cheap power. | |
