Driftless SW Wisconsin | We had a very good day at Dakotafest today in Mitchell SD. I think Farm Shows are important opportunities for potential customers to look at a wide variety of equipment. They also get a chance to look at some equipment that maybe they did not even know existed.
We had a lot of interest in strip till today, as well as a couple folks who were not aware of our Dawn strip till approach. There were much needed rains in the past week but much of the corn crop in SD is lost. Even so there was a generally very positive attitude by visitors to our booth. A show is a chance to meet with current customers and get their input also.
Personally I really enjoy doing farm shows. Here the Mitchell Chamber of Commerce and some sponsors put on a very nice cookout for exhibitors this evening. A very enjoyable chance to socialize with others in the industry. I don't think most folks here look at them as a "necessary evil" at all. jmho.
