On my 3950 the cut ends of the stalks were getting jammed off to the sides of the feed rolls. I welded some flat steel on the head to funnel the stalks to the feed rolls. I can still have problems if I get off the center of the row a little, It disrupts the flow, and it is worse at full capacity.
