| Can't help you with the bio fuel, can't get it around here without a lot of trouble. Tried it once and had a bunch of filter problems, decided to let someone else work out the problems.
As for the Cat, don't know what style you have. Somewhere around 98 they switched from a simple reliable piston pump to prime the system to one that was not and I'll leave it at that for the sake of any younger eyes on the board.
You can order the old style pump and with just a little time it will fit right in where the other was. Only need to turn a bracket a quarter turn so the handle won't hit the hood if memory serves me right. Also need a little fuel hose. If I've left something out Uncle Bubba can straighten us out, his tech was the one who switched ours over at the time.
The old style pump will make it much easier changing filters, you won't be sorry you switched. | |
